I am not sure why, but one of the memories that seems to come back to me a lot is the OULRC training camp in Banyoles, Spain. When Peachy (Pete), Nathan and myself started referring to ourselves as "paranoid bowsiders", each of us convinced in our inevitable and imminent axing from the crew. We shared a room in the camp and I found an old photo with Nathan and Peachy (and Olly's legs). Needless to say, sharing a room probably didn't help with this particular anxiety. 

Notwithstanding this, we all did make the final crew and somehow we managed to win.

Pete was a committed and passionate crewmate and friend, as well as a great, kind guy. I am really glad to have known him when I did.
