I rowed with Pete in the New College Boat Club 1st Summer VIII in 1995 and then again in 1996.  They were both great crews and we had the good fortune to win blades both times.  But amongst my best memories from those days was the privilege of getting to know Pete.  From the very first time I met him he stood out as a man of exceptional integrity - humble, thoughtful and kind - with an amazingly positive attitude to everything he did.  A pleasure to row with.  Warm-hearted, generous and unselfish.  A gentleman in every respect.
